THE DREAM I SAW ONE NIGHT
May seem weird, the topic and of course the way this article has been started without any respect or dearly salutation towards the readers. For those who demand the missing part, this is not the right piece of work to spend your precious time in a wise way. For those who never mind it, I would like to straight away say the fact that, this article is a bunch of senseless issues, which makes so much sense to me. I can’t help my seventh sense murmuring inside me every night when I try to sleep peacefully. I have tried to share all those things in the best possible way here. I promise the following is an order less compilation, for emotions come just like that.
Listen to me very carefully! I wish you could do it virtually, assuming a voice to every word being said. That would give a lot of life, at least to this article. So many things in life have lost its lives. Life is not just in the living things. Life is in a sweet symphony. Life is in a riverside sunshine. Much of these go unnoticed. But when noticed, presents before us, the beauty of life’s sweetness. But the truth today is unpleasant. We are slowly losing touch with the real essence of life. A lot of comparisons and contradictions fall into place. Cinema songs and cigarette smoke- not a strange comparison to begin with. Both are choking equally. Covered in the color of purity, costing around 5Rs and few minutes of your life, the smoke puffed in a cigar has its effects on the neighbor and the ozone layer, depleting both.
A lot has become so easy to be digested for people. Music too has become nothing lesser than a mess. It has become a way of life, to forget the peace in music, and live addicted to techno tossing albums coming under ‘pop’, ‘rap’, ‘rock n roll’ and such other brand categories.
Brand rules everything nowadays; the so called M.B.A’s know this better than anyone. Brand is the big name. You would trust Aamir Khan in a television Ad, rather than an automobile engineer from IIT, to buy a car. Aamir seldom knows about what he is speaking about. Nor do you. Blind folded by the ribbon of lifestyle, you kill reality. And then complain in a poetic way saying ‘speed thrills, reality kills!’
We don’t often care about these things. What we really care is our bike’s helmet lock, our classes to be over soon, no works on weekends and a discount sale on our favorite retail shop. Nor do the teachers do? What were more important were the formal dresses and the assigned assignments. What about our real selves? What about the choices we make? I still remember, when I was in my 12th final exams I was asked to choose the best of four options. I did my best, but the marks were just good. I then felt I could have studied better, or perhaps guessed better. I still keep praying for a change in it, putting faith on Karl Marx who said “Change is the only thing that remains unchanged”.
Pleading for a change alone is not the only thing that is going to help. In fact that is not going to help at all. We should start worrying, not about the exams, but about the wavering vision. Not about the assigned projects, but about the education of a child begging on the road side. Unpaired concepts they seem to be, but pair up to impair our country’s future.
There have been days when I used to look upon a plane flying in the sky, and would bend till I lose balance. Now that I go by it, I can see only buildings and landscapes as tiny pieces. But few things never change. The spectators remain chasing the plane still. I just can’t see the little children on the land, running and jumping, trying to catch the plane desperately. But I am sure they still exist. No harm in it... Some dare to catch it someday, some dare to buy it someday and some dare to drive it someday… Someday they would. The someday is not until schools train minds to think rather than cherish seeing the schools results topping the lists every year! Not until politics die in college and cabinet! Not until a student is rewarded for his originality rather than being punished for failing to follow the usual procedures.
Everything is incomplete. Everything is not elsewhere. Everything is just here. It’s not somebody else. It’s you and me ‘which’ are incomplete. The use of ‘which’ is applicable, for we are nothing but laughing animals, which can also cry. Let us evolve. Together we make a force that gives a feel, like an art, like an untold love, so intense and ignited! Faster than light, thoughts unhindered by the forces of reality, incubated by virtuality, where everybody is a king of his own world! Break the rules, for sure it’s less harmer than a cigar and more helpful than a lifestyle shopping. Let’s make it happen!
A lot of what I discussed remains senseless, until really looked in to, until really laughed into, until really wept in to.
With so many things to worry about, are you still concerned about the DREAM I saw ONE night?
